Can I Edit Metafields Created with Another App?

Yes with one exception.

Metafields are stored in Shopify's infrastructure and are accessible via API to any authorized application. This means you can use Metafield Studio to read and edit metafields created by other apps.

The Exception: App-Owned Metafields

App-owned metafields can only be accessed by the app that created them. These metafields are restricted by Shopify's API to ensure data integrity between apps.

If you encounter a metafield marked as "app-owned" in Metafield Studio, it means another app created it with restricted access, and only that app can modify or delete it.
