Date / Time Block

Display formatted dates and times from metafields on your storefront.

Supported Metafield Types​

Single value types:

  • date — a single date
  • date_time — a single date with time

List types:

  • list.date — multiple dates displayed together
  • list.date_time — multiple dates with times displayed together

Customization Options​

Date Format​

Modify how dates are displayed (e.g., MM/DD/YYYY, DD.MM.YYYY, or long format).

Icon Settings​

Add calendar or clock icons alongside date values.

Styling​

  • Text color — Match your theme palette
  • Text size — Adjust for readability
  • Border — Add visual boundaries
  • Layout — Control the overall arrangement

List Display Formats​

When using list.date or list.date_time metafields, you can choose from four display formats:

Stacked​

Each date is displayed on its own line in a vertical stack. Clean and easy to scan.

Bulleted​

Dates are rendered as an unordered list with bullet points, ideal for event listings or milestone dates.

Numbered​

Dates are shown in an ordered list with sequential numbers, useful for ranked or sequential events.

Comma-Separated​

All dates are joined inline with commas for a compact, single-line display.

Use Cases
  • Event schedule Use list.date_time with a stacked or bulleted layout to show upcoming event dates
  • Product milestones Display launch dates, update dates, or version release dates as a numbered list
  • Availability dates Show multiple available dates for booking or pickup
